OUR HISTORY

One day while in my children’s room I heard the Lord saying to me to take a one month fast. After a couple of days, I called Sister Patience M. Cephus, who is now a Pastor to join me, but she told me no. Why?  Because she had not fasted for one week. How can she go for one month? I asked a few friends and they also declined. After some weeks plus Sister Patience M. Cephus, called asking me if I still wanted to go for the one month fast? I said yes. We told our husbands and they agreed. We took one week praying for the Holy Spirit to take complete control and then we started the fast and prayer at the end of May 2007. We would call each other to pray. At the end of the fast I heard the voice of God in my spirit saying he wants me to start a prayer line to encourage people to pray. I shared it with Pastor Patience, and she told me she is not interested because Liberian people are too hard to deal with. I also told a few friends, but they were not interested. After some time, Pastor Patience M. Cephus called asking me to join her to go on a one week fast. While we were discussing the fast sister, Brenda Essiah stopped by my house. I told her about the fast and immediately she said she will join us. We fasted for one week. At the end I Mother Wesseh heard the voice of the Lord again saying to me, ‘Start a prayer line to encourage people to pray.’ When I told them, Pastor Patience said, ‘this is not her first time saying this.’  Sister Brenda Essiah responded, ‘If you are ready I am ready.’ That is how we started connecting and encouraging people to pray on August 11, 2007.

My first office was in the laundry room that I shared with the furnace.  After a few years I asked my husband if we could use the living room in the basement for our office. My Husband agreed and we began using our basement for our office.

About a year later the Lord spoke to my heart to pray for people every Monday. One Monday I dressed up and went to the basement to begin prayer for those who were on my prayer list.

Before I will take my seat in the basement I heard a knock, one sister entered, and another sister followed another sister; that day I had a full basement of sincere women coming to pray without any invitation. This is how our Monday in-person meeting stated.
